THEATRICAL TRAILER ROUGH LAYOUT DRAFT 1
For my theatrical trailer, I want it to follow them as a couple, making their tension and chemistry undeniable, however making the audience question their compatibility and make them wonder how fate will push them together.
Shots of her getting ready
Taglines: she's scatty, unlucky, always overlooked
Shots of him getting ready
Taglines: he's confident, popular, impossible
Shot of them bumping into each other at school - her books fall everywhere and he smirks and she says shut up
Them arguing over a seat in class
Teacher rolling their eyes at them
Them sitting far apart in class
Teacher saying “you two, work together”
They both groan and move to sit next to each other
He smirks and says something like “ugh we have dinner as well with the families tonight, aren't we forced to spend too much time together anyway” sarcastically
Them downstairs arguing in the kitchen (maybe saying i hate you and he says yeah same)
Tagline: they used to be best friends
The mum saying stop arguing this falling out has been going on too long
Tagline: now they couldn't be further apart
In school – her looking at this boy and smiling and blushing
In school - her friend says just message him later omg
At home - she's on her bed questioning if she should send the message, eventually sends it
At his house - see the message pop up on his phone - unknown number
Tagline: one wrong number
He smirks and texts back
Tagline: never felt so right
Her texting whilst whilst walking and giggling
Him texting while in bed and smiling
Her texting whilst walking - walks into a lamppost
Him looking at his phone during class smiling
In school - says something to the boy she thought it was (either like hi or something abt their texts or like ive loved messaging you) and he reacts like he has no idea what shes talking about
She looks confused so sends a message saying “who are you”
Reply on phone (him) saying "you'll have to wait to find out, this anonymous thing is kind of fun”

Tagline: no expectations
Them arguing in school
Split screen of them texting each other to full screen of them bumping into each other again and groaning, rolling eyes
Shot of them in class, both on their phones texting
Teacher says “detention, both of you”
Awkward silence in detention
She drops her pen
They both reach down to pick it up
Get very close and make intense eye contact
Then go back to what their each doing awkwardly
He says “remember when we used to be okay”
She sighs and says yeah sadly
Maybe we should just try to get along
Teacher doing something funny and he points it out
They both laugh, then catch themselves doing it and stop quickly
Them walking past each other in school and him smiling awkwardly
Them walking home together laughing
Still texting anonymously
Them working together at a table and joking around etc
Them in school walking around and talking
His friend says to him “why you nice to her shes so weird” or something
He says uncomfortably like “yeah i know shes so weird i just have to pretend because our mums are best friends”
She overhears and gets upset
She confronts him, really upset like why would u say that
He's getting angry too
She starts to walk away, crying
She sends a text to her anonymous texter
Hear his phone ping loudly
She turns around slowly and says his name
Tagline: the truth was always one text away
Last bit - upbeat music montage
Them running through school
Laughing
Making eye contact
Arguing over something stupid
Tagline: some connections were always meant to be
