POTENTIAL PRODUCTION COMPANIES FOR MY FILM

I have come up with 5 possible production companies that could produce my film. I looked at big-screen classic romantic comedies and the production companies that produced them. 

Here are the possible options and what films they have made: 

1. Universal Pictures 

• one of Hollywood's biggest and oldest studios. It is a major player in big blockbuster films and also romantic comedies. They can provide humour and romance in a way that appeals to a global audience.   

 

Romantic comedies they’ve made: 

• 'Notting Hill' 
• 'Bridget Jones' Diary' and sequels 
• 'Love Actually'
• 'Ticket to Paradise' 

2. Working Title 

• It is a British production company with a great reputation for making high quality romantic comedies. They frequently collaborate with Universal Pictures and are behind some very iconic rom coms. 

Romantic comedies they have made: 

• 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' 
• 'Notting Hill' 
• 'Love Actually' 
• 'About Time' 

3. Studio Canal 

- It is a French based production and distribution company that has been involved in some major Hollywood Rom coms. They also work in collaboration with Working Title. They have played many roles in some big hits

• 'Bridget Jones' Diary' 
• 'Love Actually' 
• 'About Time' 
• 'Last Christmas' 

4. Warner Brothers Pictures 

- Warner Brothers is also one of the biggest Hollywood studios known for a range of genres, including romantic comedies. They’ve produced many classic and commercially successful romantic comedies.

• 'You’ve Got Mail' 
• 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days 
• 'He’s Just Not That Into You' 
• 'Crazy Rich Asians' 

5. Netflix 

- Netflix has recently become a powerhouse for romantic comedies and has played a big role in reviving the genre. They specialise in feel good, binge-worthy romances that are especially loved by younger audiences.

6. Sony Pictures  

• Sony Pictures has produced some of the most iconic romantic comedies. They have a strong reputation for fun and stylish rom coms. They also work closely with Columbia and Screen Gems.

• 'Crazy, Stupid, Love' 
• 'Anyone But You' 
• 'Friends With Benefits' 

7. Paramount Pictures 

- Paramount is one of Hollywood's oldest and most successful studios. It includes classic but also modern romantic comedies. They are very good at blending humour and romance in a way that feels fresh, but also timeless.

• 'No Strings Attached' 
• 'The Lost City' 
• 'Mean Girls'
